Malicious Emails claiming they're from BBB
by Chamber Admin on August 1st, 2012
The Better Business Bureau of Southern Arizona is issuing an urgent scam alert cautioning businesses and consumers about two emails purporting to be from BBB. Both emails contain malicious links and bogus sign-in information.
One email has the appearance of a complaint notification from BBB, and the second email has the appearance of a BBB "SBQ form," which is a questionnaire BBB sends to businesses in order to gather information to be used in their Business Reviews.
Should you receive such an email, please disregard its message, and forward any information received to phishing@council.bbb.org, and then delete it. If you have clicked on the link, immediately conduct a virus scan.
